Being a white knight was cute in the '80s, but younger generations of women are much more empowered than young men in all aspects of life (education, income, health). Even a staggering number of men are victims of domestic abuse nowadays - to the point it's no longer considered a sex-specific issue like rape.
That's why the term feminism is increasingly disfavored even by young women.

I think I mentioned this already BUT 80% of my open domestic violence cases have women as the defendants...create laws to protect women...laws end up being used against women.
