unintentional copying (such as, lets pretend, that these will be passed on to a child) is one thing, and how would you even prosecute that by the way
intentional copying (extracting it from a person who had it injected in order to copy it) is another. you're saying that can't be protected, because it's "in nature"? why do any medicines get protected? we take them in our bodies. why does anything get protected.

Patents and copyrights are merely impediments to the free flow of information in order to create a situation wherein the exclusive holder of that information can then sell it to the highest bidder, who will then use it for the purposes of exploitation.
This state of affairs serves no socially constructive purpose so these impediments should be removed.
