Guys, a hands off approach to the Syrian conflict won't work. The US disengaging from the situation leaves it open to manipulation and intervention by other forces already operating there. Russia, Iran, Lebanese militias, etc. That instability and the ultimate aims of the parties involved do not run neutral to current US objectives or needs in the region. If you're willing to cut all ties with the region, f**k over any good will US diplomats have garnered in the ME and the surrounding area over the past several decades, then you run the highly probable risk of putting the US at a distinct disadvantage to the parties that continue to interject in the confrontation.

US involvement in a given scenario isn't an automatic grounds for the US being at fault or operating where it need not.

The rest of the world knows that another war would lead to the American empire crushing what financial future is may of had left. Blinking right now would save whats left of the republic.
