I know plenty of hunters and what not that think it's a right. When you move away from people that actually use guns, though, support is virtually non-existent.
Essentially, it is a rural-urban split.
Also, keep in mind that some people may support more permissive gun laws - such as myself - without viewing it as a right. That is a far more popular position in Canada.
