Well, I think that we, as homo sapiens, owe a huge debt to Neanderthals. We pretty much made their entire species extinct.
Oh, and we owe reparations to all the other species which we made extinct. After all, we don't want to draw some "arbitrary line" that cuts out the entire animal kingdom.
