So so. Kind of like World War Z except its centered in Asia and has got giant monsters instead of zombies. Totally predictable.

Caught a few docs on Netflix this weekend.

The Woman Who Wasn't There- 6/10 Not bad, but the title gave it away from the get-go. Only an hour long, but the story could have been done even more quickly.

El Bulli: Cooking in Progress- 8/10. I loved this movie and the very simple way it was made. Basically a fly on the wall perspective of how this (now closed) experimental restaurant's creative process went down.

Chasing Ice- 7.5/10. Got a little preachy but the footage is amazing.

Sorry if it's been mentioned, but the "Search this thread" function won't let me search for "The American".

The American stars George Clooney as an American hitman kind of person. He's forced to Italy for one last job. Sounds like a good plot, and I like Clooney as an actor. But, they somehow managed to stuff 10 minutes of plot into a 105-minute movie, and make it seem like it was 180 minutes long. I swear, there is more time devoted to cinematic shots of Clooney walking through Smallville, Italy than to any plot-progressing dialogue or action.

Sole upside - Violante Placido. So hawt.

I watched a movie from Norway this weekend on Netflix.

Headhunters - pretty enjoyable, 7/10. It's about a dude who is a job recruiter (or headhunter) and uses that position to steal works of art from people's homes to sell, runs into the wrong person, becomes a cat & mouse thriller. Nothing special about the movie and the setup in retrospect is a bit ridiculous, but it was fun watching it play out. I'd actually be okay if this was remade and the pot holes were touched up.

Also saw in the last couple weeks Silver Linings Playbook. 9/10, really liked it. Lincoln was okay, 7/10. Seven Psychopaths was fun, 8/10.
