The thing that most bothers me about this case is that nobody cares what happened at all. It is a political tool. You can tell, because the only thing people are talking about now is Stand Your Ground laws and this was not a stand your ground case at all.
It can't be made directly about guns as that is a losing proposition right now, so it is being made about laws that allow people to use guns for self defense. Making sweeping legal changes based on one singular case is nothing short of insanity. To do this when the law isn't even relevant to the case is something beyond insanity.

How is this not a stand your ground case?
We'll never know for sure but most people seem to think if this happened in a State without SYG laws Zim wold have been convicted of at least manslaughter.
