I can still count in Spanish and I know if the guys on a job site are talking and I hear "puta", "wetta" or "panoches",(not sure about the spelling, but I know it when I hear it) to just beat the crap outta them.
When I burned the living hell outta my hand checking an overfilled radiator and wound up in a Mexican restaurant in Salt Lake, I remembered how to say, "Es caliente, necessito agua frio." to the little old lady who couldn't speak English.
Really just remember enough to literally get me in trouble. I accent and trill pretty well, so if I say, "gracias" or "de nada" or "Donde esta...?" I will sometimes wind up with the person I'm speaking to going into full on Spanish while I look at them with that "Huh???" look on my face and I can say, "No hablo Espanol mucho. En Engles, por favor."
