It's all "greater good" and "for the best of all people, everywhere", then they let slip that their base motivation is disgust and hatred for humanity and human nature. When you speak about your Paleolithic superman, you conveniently leave out that his life expectancy was still in the 30's, from many factors but mostly due to the amazingly common death of children during their early years or childbirth. I'm sure from your perspective of humanity as a virus destroying the world that is all well and good. Nothing more than weak chaff not deserving of life. A mere self-correcting mechanism for humanity to stay at the "correct" levels of population. Mother nature must have her harvest. Or just lucky f**k not having to be born in the toil and misery that is existence (nice little turn of phrase with the "wheel" there). And then people wonder why Buddhism is associated with nihilism.
As for the rest of the world, how about going out there once in a while, you pontificating blowhard. If by "misery" you mean population explosions from not dying left and right from easily curable diseases and afflictions, yeah, totally bro. Our bad. And exploitation of labour was completely unheard of before industrialization, and not viciously worse in every way.

Interesting, it's almost as if countries that are already industrialized with the relevant infrastructure are at replacement levels of birth. Only Africa, certain areas of the Mid East, South-East Asia and South America are booming.
