Just one final thought on the thread derail concerning Germany and Switzerland.

I'm rather hardpressed to believe that a country which invaded Poland, France and the Soviet Union, declared war on a largely untouchable industrial might, and was attempting to exterminate all the Jews, would be reticent to invade a country they shared a border with that had a military of maybe 250k based purely on the fact that their attempt at an Anschluss failed. They feared the Swiss military and their form of government? Yeah, clearly nothing else was at play there....

Hitler didn't NEED to invade.. The Swiss were doing everything he wanted.. Why would he risk taking casualties, then having to station 100,000's of troops there after an invasion that he could use elsewhere? He didn't need too.. It would be foolish.. Except for money WTF do the Swiss have that would interest Hitler? Nothing that I can think of.. And they were already financing Hitler.. So why bother?
