Idk. I've read the arguments for and against, and frankly I just don't think the US should be involved.
First, why Syria? Because of the chemical weapons? That's dumb. There are plenty of people being murdered and brutalized throughout the world. I think the chemical weapons stuff is just to drone up support, and to instill on the American public that there is this idea that if somebody uses chemical weapons to murder people, we have to stop them, if they're just killing people with guns or something, we can just let them have a jolly ole' time.
Furthermore, the rest of the world *cough* Europe *cough* is fully capable of bombing Syria themselves. We don't need to be there. Let somebody else take care of it. Let the UN take care of it.
Just sick and tired of the US playing world police. Especially when we have so many damn problems in this country. We constantly hear time and time again about how Europe is doing it right, not spending trillions on defense, free healthcare, great education, etc.... Those same people criticize the US for doing it, then turn around and demand the US get involved in yet another war. Well damn, maybe if we weren't f**k bombing people every other year perhaps we could spend some money on our healthcare, or our education.
