I don't think people are actually "more (or less) vocally opposed" to crimes committed by a particular race. It only seems like that to people with a less than enlightened perspective on race.
The fact is prejudice against the caucasian race in society is not an real problem, while violence, oppression, and prejudice at the hands of the caucasian race against other races is still to this day an actual problem.
