and my initial argument was that i find it weird. me. and that i think happy holidays makes more sense, and you went off on this insane culture war rant because i used the word inclusive and made up this conclusion that i was angry when people said merrry christmas. when i clarified this, and said it has to do with being accurate, not being upset by it, again, you went off on this insane tangent about saying happy halloween exactly 34 hours before halloween, and then about birthday parties, repeat ad infinitum. i probably shouldn't have even bothered since it really had nothing to do with what i was initially saying, but whatever, that ship has sailed. not like you even bothered arguing the point properly. not once did you actually engage any of my arguments, just posted more holidays and asked me to say if it's "proper" or not. i even pointed out if people say the wrong thing to me, i don't care or get offended, even if i think it's silly. aside from the bit about thinking cashiers should say happy holidays (which i figured was a given with what i was saying), everything i said is the same as hurf's position. right down to not caring if people get it wrong, it just being a personal preference of mine.
