mid-election cycle we always assume people will forget, but when the elections come around there's always a four year long laundry list of scandals, gaffes, etc that gets played ad nauseam. we may be getting dumber but we can still have our memories jogged with a little reminder.

this will be front and center next election "do you want to elect the party that thought it was okay to hold this country hostage for their personal gain?"

count on it.

That's what I hear--that hey, the CEOs of the world have always enjoyed the pro-biz slant of the GOP but these freaks aren't even pro-biz they're off the reservation so yes, now you're seeing business long for the Karl Rove days.

Polls are now showing that about 1/3 of people being polled now believe the GOP's #1 priority is causing political problems for Obama in Congress. That reason polled higher than is the GOP's highest priority creating jobs and/or reducing the debt. AKA the GOP is putting party before the country...

People are starting to catch on.

Well shit what took the public so long? The GOP declared this their ultimate mission the moment Obama was elected. Thank God they're finally waking up. I hope.

Eynon I think you're absolutely right that the Dems will tilt even more pro-biz to get the money now.

Again, America loses. This is what happens when you insert a virus into the GOP that is the TP--you make the Dems selling out to business (more than they have) look rational.

Colorado has become a bit of a national bell-weather and the Dems here are losing ground by pushing some fairly dumb policy. (magazine bans, easier to file employment suits against small businesses, income tax hike to fund pre-school, etc)

If the GOP would just shut the f**k up the Dems would do themselves in. This is basically Mike Huckabee's position.

I think the best example of them going over the cliff with spite is when the GOP governors refused to expand their states' medicaid to cover poor people under Obamacare even though the Feds would be paying for it.

F*** you, poor people! Even though it's costing us nothing, we're going to deny you healthcare that you would get in other states because we're just that bug-eyed and batshit crazy about sticking it to Obama!
