Sorry to keep harping on this but where we are now--is that not example of the failure of media? This is what happens when you don't fact-check people, and allow them to create reality as they see fit. Now we're seeing it at the full extreme, where they're simply delusional.
Chuck Todd, of all people--yes THAT Chuck Todd, Mr. Even-mannered--was so exasperated with the combined Palin/Cruz TP spectacle at the WWII memorial that he actually said on-air "What planet are these people on?"
Last week, the week before, I'm sure this week too will feature another MTP program where the Dem stooge and the GOP stooge go and simply parrot the party line talking points about this, as David Gregory cups their balls.
Here's an idea: every time a stooge goes on one of these programs, all of their claims should be fact-checked afterwards and they can be issued a rating--think of it like a batting average. And every subsequent program they appear on, that rating is shown at the bottom of the screen, like in MLB.
Wouldn't that be interesting now?
