Ok, first of all, none of you on this site have a CLUE about how I felt about Bush bailing out the banks. But do liberals need to be reminded again.....Bush isn't in office. Hasn't been for YEARS. This thread isn't about Bush. If you'd like to discuss Bush, please make your own thread. This is about Obama bailing out a private company while other companies fold like a deck of cards.
Second of all, GM was a f**k up company that couldn't pull a profit so taxpayer dollars were used to bail it out. GM has still yet to pay back this loan, and they never will. PROOF:
http://seekingalpha.com/article/419741- ... ytime-soon "*GM did not payback the TARP loans as their announcement appeared to say. They only paid back one particular loan package of $6.7 billion - not the $49.5 billion the announcement implied. Even worse was that GM also did not repay the loan with monies and profits from the newly invigorated company - they paid it back with more TARP funds from another TARP escrow account, none of the repayment funds came from GM monies."
The truth about the Obama GM bailout...(ya know, the stuff liberals don't want you to hear)
http://gaanderson.hubpages.com/hub/Obam ... ld-DetailsYou can't claim record profits when you owe 4 times more than your "record profits". If I have a company that made 1 million last year but I owe 4 million to get there, how good did I really do? The facts are the facts: They are losing market share quickly and are being pwned by Ford and other auto manufacturers. Dems da facts:
http://www.changinggears.info/2012/04/1 ... are-gains/"In March, GM’s market share fell to a 90-year low"
The most damning article: GM looking to go bankrupt AGAIN:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/louiswoodhi ... tcy-again/Third, when I have my taxpayer dollars forcefully taken from me by my gov't and spent on a failing business that I don't give a shit about, I have a problem with that. If they would go under, all that skill would simply disolve into the other car makers as they would have to pick up the huge increase in sales somehow, and what better way than to employ the people who used to make those cars. You act like had those people lost their jobs the Earth would stop spinning. When you artificially prop up a failing company, you make it to where their choices become irrelevant. They no longer have to worry about failing. What other company enjoys that luxury? It would have been BETTER in the long run, and economists agree, had GM been allowed to fail, restructure, and come back as a truly profitable industry. PROOF:
http://hotair.com/greenroom/archives/20 ... r-me-roar/http://www.thecuttingedgenews.com/index ... icle=74269Here’s how Detroit’s market share looks, according to Autodata, Inc.
2012: 44.3 percent (through March)
2011: 47 percent
2010: 45.1 percent
2009: 44 percent
Those aren't number I'd be bragging about with their "record profits"!
Ford is losing too, but Ford didn't take taxpayer money so I don't care about them. GM is on my f**k radar because they got my money against my will. I got a REAL problem with that.
You want to talk about ownage?? I think I have the title to your house right now.
"Police protection" is an oxymoron. Gun laws are like masturbation, they both feel really good, but after you're done you realize you haven't accomplished anything."
