I'm not talking about governing. I'm talking about campaigning. Obamacare has gotten off to a rocky start (although Republicans decided to divert media attention away from it by trying to out-dumb each other with the shut down); if things don't turn around it won't matter that Republicans had no alterative. 80-plus % of Americans were content with their old healthcare plan and undoubtedly some of those who weren't will not like Obamacare any better. If Americans decide the price (higher premiums or low quality) of providing strangers with healthcare was too high, Republicans might not look like total morons for trying to repeal Obamacare 50 times. It's too early at this point to predict how things will transpire, but I would expect a program as large, complex, and poorly written as Obamacare to take a while to work out the kinks.
