Feedback for possible site changes

Guys, I was able to go through all of the post since last night and I'd like to clear up some things:

I do not want this site in order to build my site on. My site is dead right now, so there's nothing really to build on.
Secondly, the original offer, if you read the first post buy Ubermann was to either buy or merge,or perhaps take over this forum, in exchange for Vbulletin software.

The reason why I mentioned my forum, Patriotic Voices was because it is already equipped with the software and spares me using a separate license. The only think that would needed to be changed is the name.

Next, Ubermann would remain an admin at the forum, I'd work along side him, or however he'd like to be.

I also noticed comments mentioning "he just wants us in the network of forums" or something along those lines.

This is NOT true. I mentioned the network just as an introduction to who I am, and what I do.

I've seen some hostile comments here, some rude, but I can understand that.

Idk, I just don't' really see what you're bringing to the table here.

We have the forum, we have the community, we have the name, we have the money.

You apparently have Vbulletin which we don't quite care about.

So what advantage does the community gain? I can understand if Ueber wants to not manage the forum as much, in which case he could let somebody here help him out more, but what do we get from letting you just take over ownership? If he wanted to sell you the forum, for a modest sum, that would make more sense, but just giving it to you or even merging it seems idiotic at best.

Well, I have a number of ideas which I think will prove beneficial to the health of the forum.
I also can dedicate more time to forum than ubermann at times.

vBulletin has better mods, but it's really only marginally better than phpBB when it comes to a straight forum. So a swap for the PCF brand, content and members makes no sense. What would we gain other than the ability to add various non-essential mods, which we can more than likely find alternatives for, and install ourselves?

The only thing you have to offer is administration, but I don't see any evidence that you are good at it. You bought $300-400 software, a $1000/year server plan, and you did this on the off-chance that you could start a forum from scratch. Then you failed to do that and offered to buy another site in order to secure 40 active posters.

So why would we possibly want you to admin this site, especially when many of us have made financial commitments to it, and our money would be under your control? If it is under ueber's control, that doesn't benefit us at all, since he doesn't have the time, and you don't have the skills, to spend it wisely.

FWIW I don't think we have to pile on him so hard he's just make an offer. I love that we're all so protective but let's give him the benefit of the doubt before we decide he's a black hat? Just sayin...
