Did you not tell me that liberals wanted a single payer socialized system and that Republicans, the obstructionists that they are, caused Obama to give in to what we have now? Where did I ever say that the system we have now is a socialist system? You want to talk about a strawman? I said the republicans got in the way of a socialist system. And I'm only going off of what you told me to come to that conclusion.

Obamacare is a republican think-tank idea that came out of the Heritage Foundation. It was and is a giveaway to the insurance industry.

If we don't go to a single-payer system, and soon, we've accomplished nothing but making the rich richer and the poor poorer, which is typically what happens in republican-world.

Did anybody else notice the stunning irony here? People like our friend here rage about how the ACA is the end of all of us and that's why he must be stopped, etc.

And they voted for Romney. Who actually did the exact same thing in MA.

I didn't see anybody demanding he repeal Romneycare before they'd vote for him.

But then again, this IS a Republican idea--until Obama actually uses it.

I'm not reading the whole thread but honestly, the ACA was a good idea that was poorly implemented. I honestly don't like it at all and think things need to go back to how they were with some minor improvements. Baby steps.

The government should not be running our health care. FFS people, we're talking about the US government here! They can't run the post office. They can't operate the DPS/DMV efficiently. Hell, they couldn't even do the "Cash for Clunkers" program properly and we think that they are somehow, this isn't going to turn into a huge effin mess? Well, its off to a great start...

We should be outraged that the taxpayers have paid for this whole system and its in the current state it is in. There's absolutely no reason this system should be running as poorly as it is with as much money as was spent on it. And now? Its the usual way the Democrats think to fix problems - "Well, lets just throw more money at it and see where that gets us!"

Its seemingly the answer they always throw at everything - "Add more money. That'll fix it!"
