That's not a choice. You don't have a choice. That's the reality of having a government. It will continue to enhance it's power. So long as you support it, it will just keep doing what it does. So it's nonsense to sit there and support a government, then get mad when it does the things it's supposed to do by nature.
If you believe you have a choice, show me an example of the government lessening it's reign on security.
