Why is the NSA spying on US citizens?

I want to see the NSAs warrant for spying on everyone, I want to know exactly who is in the group doing this, and I want them to be subject to stringent oversight by elected officials in a totally transparent process.

Or I don't want my tax dollar funding them. That's all there is to that.

I just quoted the relevant text. It clearly enumerates a right to privacy from government intrusion into your private effects and property. It's straight forward and easy to understand. The government can't act in such a manner without a warrant that describes EXACTLY what they are after and where and why they want to look.

What the NSA is doing is the electronic equivalent of sneaking into everyone's house to see what they are doing and to see if they can make anything out of it. This is the exact government outcome the constitution is expressly designed to PROHIBIT.

So don't ever say that again.
