Which could maybe matter if this site was sufficiently large enough to warrant searching. It's not. You could get rid of the search capability of this site entirely and it wouldn't matter in the slightest bit.
It's simply a non-issue.
What is an issue is getting users to sub forums and getting them engaged in a variety of topics. Having 50 different sub forums for any little topic just encourages fractionalization, and adds an unnecessary step for the user to get to the topics.
