Jesus was the original LW social revolutionary. Most of the gospels are very liberal. They definitely are anything but conservative in light of their contemporary civil setting.
But the whole ethic of Christianity is as well. Pity, sympathy, virtues of the weak. It caters to those who would otherwise be thrown aside in hopeless despair (slaves, unemancipated women, cripples, addicts, etc). It's like food stamps for the repressed soul. It was created by a class of people who were underprivileged and outcasts.
So of course Christianity is liberal. It was only hijacked by conservatives in the last century to bolster their political ideologies.
