Let's see - I haven't formed an opinion for this, I'm just going to follow the numbers.
testprepreview.com says that an average cost for a 4-year business degree is $7600/year. So, $30,400 for tuition and fees. Add in books and other crap, and let's call it an even $35,000.
According to education.yahoo.net, average starting salary for a business grad is $41,100, with a mid-career salary of $70,600. Given that mid-career will be roughly 20 years into your career, let's say that the average over that 20 years is $55,850. So, 10% of that per year is $5,580. Over 20 years, that comes to $111,600.
Why is it better to pay $111,600 than $35,000?
