Yes, there is missing Russian nuclear material. That is besides the point though: it's been missing for twenty years, and if there was ever a point where building a suitcase nuke and detonating it in the US was viable, it was long before 9/11.

As for Pakistan, the US has given them nearly $100 million worth of equipment and training to secure their nuclear weapons. So it isn't a non-issue, but not anywhere close to being an actual problem at this point.

I don't believe there's 100 suit case bombs 'lost'.. After the USSR fell their nuke program was a mess.. So most, if not all, of the 'lost' bombs were probably destroyed but no one recorded it. Hell parts of the Russian/USSR government had no idea what other parts of the government were doing.

BUT it is something to think about.
