So they're free to do it. But the bakery owner is not discriminating if he refused to bake a sex trafficking cake.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
If guns are not outlawed, the in-laws will have guns.

It's exactly the issue I raised. How can the state deem his refusal to participate in an act (symbolic or otherwise) that the state deemed illegal be considered discriminatory? What exactly is he discriminating against?

What isn't legal there is gay civil marriage. Anyone can get married and have a wedding anytime they want. They just have to leave the government out of it.
