As for the notion of rights:
Individuals are dominated by alienating ideals they learn socially and to fully actualize the individual must shed these fallacious ideas, for they are culturally imparted rather than having a basis in objective fact .

Pretty much anything will be done, regardless of its legality. At least if its illegal there are consequences and a deterrent. Better than nothing.
Expecting altruism and decency by default is hopeless idealism IMO.
