What really damages the economy is price fixing, which is what anti-speculation mania really is.

I guess humans just want to be in control of other humans. That is why helicopter moms exist. This mentality has permeated all levels of our self-entitlement society We say we have a system of law and order but the objective truth is that society is a mass of individuals all acting in their own perceived self-interest and claiming it is for idealistic reasons, ie the greater good, Jesus, mom and apple pie, the environment or what have you.
The truth is the helicopter mom does what she does not for the good of the child, but for self aggrandizement. This is the spirit of our age.
It's time for our adolescent civilization to reach adulthood and begin to... actualize.
