That is an argument for better rehabilitation programs, ones proven to bring youth recidivism down by 30-70%. It is NOT an argument for making our justice system an extension of your cokeheadesque rage problems.

Nobody in their right mind would argue that punishment is better than preventing future crimes, especially when that punishment has been shown to increase youth recidivism sevenfold.

Think about that for a second. Because he will just keep hurting other people until he's stopped. He already proved this when there were no consequences the first time and then he proceeded to kill and maim a bunch of people driving while drunk again.

What about some utilitarianism concerning that proven walking public safety issue? Don't you think he should at least be kept under wraps at a juvenile facility until he's an adult and can be reviewed to see if his mental state is such that he is able to refrain from activities that damage others?

He didn't mean to kill anyone and he is just a kid, but at the same time he has proven to be a menace to the community, that much is clear.
