Why do you believe in God over Allah? Or Ra?
And religion isn't necessary to make you a good or better person. I think this is the problem you're having. Look if you just stopped believing in God are you going stop trying to be a better person? If yes, than you aren't a good person no matter what deity you believe in, if no, then why bother with lying to yourself?

Why do you believe in God at all though? It doesn't matter what you call it.
And how does religion help put a check on you "immoral" acts? Unless you believe in hell, in which case I think you still need to provide a justification for one god preference over another.
