The world is literally figuring out what the value of this new unit of account is and it's going to take putting it through a torture test to find it's true value. Right now arbitrage is pretty much impossible due to certain regulatory stipulations and that is the major force that opposes stability.

When arbitrage does become possible prices will stabilize quickly as people rush to profit from the price differential between various exchanges. I think it will stabilize a lot higher than the 200-300 I previously predicted. So far this currency has proved to be remarkably resilient. Things are developing in China, where the popularity of and need for XBT have only increased in recent days.

It really is fascinating to be in a position to watch this phenomena emerge and be a part of it.
