Well at the end of the day I think we're also in agreement that this guy probably boosted his career. Controversy keeps reality stars relevant, especially when there's an endless supply of new reality show concepts out there. We won't run out of reality shows til we run out of degenerates. But the stir this guy caused will likely keep his show relevant for an extra six months before he gets forgotten for the next reality fad.

Well, yeah. I don't care if they make more money, what matters is two-minute-hating their asses. You can be damned sure that the networks are going to reign in all future reality stars, and make discussion of these topics off-limits, as part of the contract.
This is good. One mans opinion about gays isn't news, it only becomes news when we give him a platform to say it on. But if we can cause networks to preemptively forbid their reality stars from talking about this shit, everyone benefits.
