and Obama's foreign policy strength in that election - especially considering the timing of the attack and the release of that video and the expected polarizing defense of Islam.

Whether Republican campaign money is responsible or not, there is a system in place for something like this to happen in any election now. What's to stop dark, anonymous millions coming from anyone anywhere in the world (http://www.publicintegrity.org/2013/11/ ... nonprofits) paying someone working in the CIA or the NSA or someone with connections on the ground willing to 'make it happen' or influence the outcome of an election?
Nothing, that's what. How would they get caught? You couldn't trace financial transactions to the source and even if you could NSA employee could probably erase it.

The US gov also gives cover to both of those agencies from the people and then there's our media that works for these campaigns.
Our elections now are perfectly set up for organized crime.

There is a really glaring omission here:

Ambassador Stevens was killed by smoke because that was the only thing capable of reaching him. He was in a specially designed safe room that the attackers would not be able to penetrate. The absence of fire-fighting equipment and ventilation is what killed him.

That said, it was clearly an attack that required an inside source. These guys knew everything about the compound.

Stevens was actually still living when brought to the hospital by Libyans, who tried to rescue him.
