I disagree that $36,000 a year is alot of money for a child. The actual evidence - not including your shitty anecdotal tales - presented here shows that child care costs alot.

if you TRULY believe it costs that much to raise a child i feel bad for you if you have kids. you're going to bankrupt yourself through stupidity.

INFANTS are expensive, as they require a lot of specialized care and items (diapers and formula alone are multiple thousands a year). but a toddler? no, exploited, just no. i don't care how many articles you're willing to cite to show the opposite, the economic reality of this country shows that children can be raised, normal and healthy, without spending almost 40,000 a year PER CHILD. the simple reality is most people are economically incapable of paying the amounts you think are within the bounds of normal.
