Humorous. I don't have any problems with this concept, indeed it was inevitable for something to fill the moral compass void that can come from atheism. I really only have one potential gripe. If these "churches" become evangelical in anyway (seeking converts), they can not preach the evils of religion.
Faith that there is no god is still faith. Once you take on the trappings of organized religion, you become nothing more than a religion sans deity.

I think it is pretty stupid to rally behind atheism because it is a concept pretty detached from how people should act to improve society ect. It makes more sense for people to rally behind moral/ ethical codes. The only benefit to religion and deities is that it provides justification and legitimacy for moral/ ethical codes.

I also believe that it is ridiculous to organize around a nonconcept such as atheism. I would advocate doing so with secular humanism and various other alternatives.
