The ones underlined in red are within the current dominion of the British Empire. You can see it has diminished considerably since it's peak in the early 20th century, when it held sway over fully 1/5 of the world's population.
WWII was sort of a phyrric victory for the Empire on which the sun never sets. British prestige was irreparably damaged and now the British Empire is a shadow of what it was, particularly since it was forced into decolonisation in the post war era.
Still a great people, but not a great empire any more. Not that is a bad thing. It just is.
