If you are trying to look back at the 90s as some type of golden age you'r forgetting about a lot of stuff or were a little kid. Like the fact that we were in two wars, the Oklahoma city bombings, we didn't have drones but the president was all about blowing up aspirin factories etc with cruise missiles so we were invading the Middle East, just didn't call the terrorists yet. NAFTA was born, which is why owe are in decline now.
The 90s were a backwards era of irresponsible military adventurism, and mindless conspicuous consumption, not much different than now except now we are much weaker from the continuous series of bad choices made over the years since.
Glad you enjoyed your POGs though.

history students are in luck. it will be easy for them to pin the start of the decline of the US as 9/11 or so.
