I just don't want it done in my name. When the state of Florida executes someone, it's done on my behalf. I don't know these people, I don't know their crimes, and yet I'm complicit in their murder? It isn't like they are going to break out of supermax, so I don't see the necessity. It just bothers me people are mirdered out of vengeance, in my name, when I don't even know who they are or what they did.
This guy in Ohio was brutally executed. Gasping for air? We pretty much held his head underwater until the bubble stopped. I don't understand why they had to try a different lethal cocktail? Was the past one not working? It's just frankly sick and barbaric. Somehow in the course of human history we haven't evolved to the point where we stop banding together to kill someone out of vengeance? That's sad and should be altered.
