Duchifas is getting piled on so I won't join in but here are 2 things Non does not care about:
1. if Assad wins his civil war.
2. if Iran gets a nuke.

Stuff Non does care about:
1. the on going rise of militant Sunni Islam, which the US seems to be helping at this point.

Arabs aren't afraid of Iran having nukes because they'll use them--they're afraid of them not having them as well. Which is why you don't want Iran having nuclear weapons most of all, for the arms race it would incite. Especially when all the not-haves are Sunni Muslims.

As for this whole ridiculous argument that there's a 65%-75% chance that Iran will get and then use nukes on the U.S. and Israel--that's some real AM radio talk show host stuff there, that is. Iran would be wiped off the face of the Earth, and they know it.

But most important of all is what you don't want is a bunch of neocons/right wingers/tea partiers with an absolutely abysmal record of action the region and an even more abysmal record of understanding the players in the region dictating to us what policy should be in the region, especially when that policy simply amounts to bombing yet another country.
