I agree with you about prostitution.
What passes for "justice" in this country has become theater of the absurd.
Best example, which I've used repeatedly: if I rob a bank I will go to jail for years.
I the bank I run steals millions/billions of taxpayer dollars, people's jobs and people's homes through outright fraud... I will not even be charged. In fact, I don't even face social scorn at this point because people have been conditioned to view crime as not only something regular folk do (especially non-white folk), but that only regular people should face consequences for.
Another example: my company will not allow me to accept gifts or lunches of a certain value or beyond from potential vendors because they want me acting in the best interest of the client and not myself or the vendor with the most money.
But in our system of gov't our "representatives" freely accept millions upon millions from special interests--now allowed to be anonymous--and this is considered "free speech."
Umwtf?
