Police that shot up two women face no consquences

Its LAPD, its not really a surprise since Im from there, they are known for getting away with stunts like this. The only reason why a couple of the cops in the Rodney King incident went to jail was because it became a Federal case after they were let off the hook in Simi Valley (and the riots played a part in it too). The other thing about this latest one is that the women who were shot up didnt seem to be too angry about it and didnt sue the department and willingly accepted the seemingly small settlement- methinks the cops probably threatened to deport them or something like that if they didnt cooperate.

These guys fired off 100 rounds and scored two hits? They should be fired for that alone. Jesus.

And I'm not being flip--thank God those women survived--but with that kind of George Zimmerman-like incompetence I don't want these morons armed.

Yup, LAPD is really becoming the textbook example of Police Gone Wild. I'm still waiting for the investigation into the coverup of the whole Biggie Smalls murder and all the LAPD working for the gangsta Suge Knight but apparently that's never going to happen.

I think a lot, if not most, major departments (and federal law enforcement) in the US work like the LAPD so we shouldn't single them out for abuse. I didn't like the ATF before I became of pub-def, now that I've had them on a few cases, they scare me.

The level of incompetence displayed in this case is amazing to me.

How can you possibly mistake two women in a blue truck for one man in a black truck ? How the f**k does that happen ? It was in broad daylight, and the truck was bright blue. And even if one person somehow makes that mistake, why did the other 7 cops start shooting at the same truck ?

Forget firing them, I want to study these cops, in order to find out how they could possibly make such a ridiculous mistake.

My best guess at what happened here is that 1 of the 8 cops was a complete paranoid wreck, and the 7 just blindly followed his lead and started shooting whatever he was shooting.
