Well, apparently the House of Valois as royalty was extinguished in the 1500s because their system followed Salic law and it left them with no viable descendents. Apparently some cadet branches of the family exist but they are not in line to any throne according to their own law.
The Bourbons on the other hand still rule Luxembourg and Spain.
Interesting. I wonder how extensive the monarchy movement is in Europe. Is there any chance it revitalize itself?
