You respect the sovereignty of Afghanistan... Which is why you definitely didn't support occupying that country for a decade, or forcing them to not grow opium, or to require Afghans to adopt a political model based upon alien principles?

The US deals with gerrymandering, that's about it. We're mainly at fault for our shit but executive decisions are made at the executive level, not the legislative. They're appointed by people we elect. Their actions aren't direct reflections of our wishes in that regard because we aren't a direct democracy. But it's all besides the point because we at least have free and fair elections. That's far more than can be said for Iran. The deflection is nice though.

Iran has that "unfriendly" neighbor because it chooses to utilize anti Jewish sentiments to stoke domestic politics and policies. Iran makes threats towards Israel, provoking it. Utilizing Hezbollah. Utilizing militias along Israel's borders. Maybe Iran should stop pushing for more regional clout via strong arming other nations, and then you know, not have to worry about nukes? It's hardly a country anybody should think about invading, it's ten times worse than Iraq. Oh, and what else does Iran do in attempting to acquire nukes? Oh, provoke their very wealthy Sunni opponents to make their own...fantastic.

Saudi Arabia uses the Jewish as a scapegoat as well but you don't see them dumping their economy to get nukes. Whys that? Aren't they threatened?
