I agree. I think there's plenty of people who just don't give a toss if it's not them. Liberal, conservative, whatever.

Which of course means you'd think poetic justice would kick in and they'd find themselves in some Kafka-esque situation where now all of a sudden that shit matters.

Once it was discovered that dozens upon dozens (if not hundreds) of death row inmates were not guilty we should have either abolished the death penalty or suspended it until all the laws were rewritten, etc.

The f**k up thing, Galt, is that if you're accused of a major crime, you lose most that stud even if you're acquitted.

And it's really major there's no bail so you also serve a year or so just cause you were indicted.

"Evidence" is easily fabricated by anyone. There is no telling what happened in any given situation, even if you witness the event personally it could all be staged.

So are we really "seeking justice" or are our efforts the social equivalent of white noise and what ever happens happens?

The more I look at it the more it seems like the latter.
