I prefer white over brown. Not a big fan of the taste of brown and I use white to grab the sauces, mostly. I like Basmati rice most of all (though, of course it doesn't work for sushi).
I know brown is healthier, but meh.
Also bread is only tasteless if you eat that wonderbread crap. Thankfully, I grew up in a family where bread mattered and always had to taste really good.
