Dude, the entire reason Western companies moved off-shore is cheap labor that isn't organized and has no real rights. That is exactly the reason we even do business there, not some altruistic or even symbiotic relationship. Hell, even now, business interests aren't content with what they have... Now they are deliberately sabotaging labour here, by gutting unions, by slashing worker safety and rights programs, etc.
It isn't the US. It is the entire Western world.
And comparing Western industrialization to what is happening now is absurd. They aren't the same thing at all. Further, people clearly haven't asked what would happen to our economy if standards were raised to an acceptable level - hint: our lifestyle wouldn't be possible, which is exactly what I've been arguing all along.
