You are mentioning factors that describe how psychology is used to co-opt people into believing they need protection. The process is known as cultural hegemony and it was first described by Antonio Gramsci in the early 20th century.
The phenomena is well understood and described by many thinkers. It facilitates when society itself becomes one big protection racket and everything people need to do is monetized.

Just wait until they really start trying to root out capital to prop everything up a little longer. Right now the focus is on the developing world, drug cartels, and stuff like Caribbean nations etc that allow certain financial services. When that is not enough they will come after private capital.
So unless someone finds a fool-proof way to anonymously hide wealth we better figure something out or they will destroy the commons.
