Yeah sanders running for pres would be bad. One of the only ways I see Republicans winning (based on current trends) is a situation where sanders or someone similar to him makes a run. It would take a lot of support away from the Dems.

The system cannot be changed. I've explained this to you neck beards a dozen times.

Duverger's law. Look it up. It's literally a LAW in political science. Like the LAWS of physics or gravity.

Plurality elections in single districts will lead to a two party system. Always. We would have to complelty change the way the legislature is elected to break the two party system. That's never going to happen, as those mechanisms are constitutionally mandated and form the foundation of our republic.

This is why only f**k idiots vote for people like sanders. You will never get the 3rd party candidate. Seriously, it's amazing how many "smart" people cast third party ballots completely ignorant of this law.

I forget who I was arguing with recently here who claimed that if we got rid of "corruption" lots of parties would have a chance. I tried to tell him that we'd need to amend the basics of the constitution to give 3rd parties a real role. No one was having it though. Just "get rid of corruption"

That's because people are fundamentally ignorant. I remember freshman year of college when I learned of that law. It was a holy shit moment. I took the new knowledge, and reshape a my view based on it.

Meanwhile exploited, who I know I've told about this law half a dozen times, continues to make stupid posts asking how we can help 3rd parties. It's really disturbing that some of you can spend so much time on here and apparently not learn a god damn thing.

Stop trolling Indy. He's right. Sanders is not a democrat and would most likely not run in the Democratic primary of he made a bid for president.
