Well, Philly, I was talking about the topic of the thread but YOU asked who I meant specifically when I referred to the concept I just explained in general by using the term "them".

So I gave specifics. And I don't mess your chit chat threads up.

I never asked you who "them" was. That's not relevant to my point at all. What is relevant to me is that you seem to insist every incident that occurs is a piece in some big master plan while everything I've observed about the world suggests that's majority of these kinds of things have little to do with grand schemes in the long term.

Also kind of the point of all of that was that this rancher is not really that much of a douche after all because, like it or not, he actually does have a claim based on the traditional philosophy that underlies land use in common law.

It's the system that is trying to charge the guy a million bucks for grass and railroaded all the other small time ranchers that left the area that are douches. Mainly because "they" allow all kinds of environmental devastation as well as "freebies" if it is a corporation that is doing it. When it comes to some guy's cows eating some grass on an empty range all the sudden the jackbooted thugs are on the scene to save the state from violent revolution and highway robbery.

That's expert level douchebaggery right there.
