Truth be told, of all the historical figures that I've ever studied, I identify most closely with Thomas Jefferson (sans slave owner part). His political leanings and mine coincide. But, I admire his ability to be hypocritical (I prefer "pragmatic") when it is in the best interest of all involved. Like how he argued against strong Federal power, against allowing the Fed to do things without consent of the states, then goes and buys Louisiana without consulting the states.
But, I'd take head of the most powerful company the world has ever known (arguably) as a consolation prize.
